About
Who am I
After working more than 30 years for a large professional services firm focusing on large-scale systems integration projects with a high level of planning and structure, I decided to enter a new chapter in my life recently. While I started photography as a hobby some years back, it is only for the last months that I really started to focus on it, learn much more about photography (how to plan and take them as well as post-production). Having shared some of the results with friends, I often got he question if I have a website with more - and here we are!
The quality of the jpgs shared on this side is adequate for the web but not for printing. While I do not want my shots to be publicly used, I am happy to share them for individual use.
As I am not planning to turn this into a profession, you will not find new shots every day, but I am planning to keep on working on this and share more. Stay tuned and come back.
I greatly appreciate your feedback - get in contact with me!
Attracted by the small size, low weight and the great design, I decided for Olympus and the MicroForThird system. Starting with the mid-size model, I moved to their top model once I decided to take it seriously. In the meantime, I have a large selection of lenses - while mainly using the ones mentioned here. Despite all the discussions around the lower resolution delivered by Olympus compared to full frame camera systems, I must say that the size and wight advantages outweigh this by far - and I am still not even close to see the limits of the system.

For sure you learn the most by taking pictures, using the RAW processor to develop them and critically evaluate the results - as well as let others give their feedback. However, I found it useful to get a certain (and ever-increasing basis) before you try out new techniques. I am also a strong believer that not everyone needs to make every mistake him- or herself but can benefit from the mistakes and learning others did in the past.
Here we have some useful links I use and like to recommend.
